Today was one of the most delicious days I've had in a long time. It started with cooking up a storm… The house was full of grumbling tummies and yummy coffee aromas. There is something so sweet about days at home where things get done but in a fun way…
While tidying up, giving my little man a haircut and tending to our 4 dogs, two turtles & two hermit crabs, the mail came…this means goodies!!!!
Yay! I and so many others love LUSH and their bath bombs. They smell delish and they are adorable while being incredibly soothing. The only thing that isn’t soothing is the price. They can be a bit steep running at around $6 and up for just one! I found an awesome website that cuts that price down and boy was I excited! The company is….
The price difference is incredible and the quality divine. For an assortment of six bath bomb fizzies it runs around $12:50, plus they gave me two extra as samples or gifts!
A big part of our day was planting our new seedlings…
Today we sowed yellow onions, lemon cucumbers, pumpkins, sage, oregano, yellow tomatoes, sunflowers, strawberries, morning glories and sweet peppers. Home Depot has these great little trays with starter soil discs set up as a mini greenhouse and it only runs around $10 bucks. So cool….
We also tended to our new red tomato seedlings that we started at the Home Depot gardening class,
…as well as the gifted seedlings we received from taking the class of oregano and parsley….
Ofcourse frogger (my little guy) had to jump in the way of the water. He’s such a dolphin lol.
Since we were enjoying the gorgeous weather, we decided to put up some festive easter doodads to get in the spirit….
For those on a budget, a quick tip…. Dollar stores are a decorators dream! We got the cute bunny and window stickies for a dollar! Just get there early, before the season is upon you and you can get done great cute things for super cheap! The country bunny is from Michael’s. Another one of our favorite stores. They ALWAYS have coupons 😊

Today was a usual busy day of writing papers, paying bills and running errands. One of my stops was at Walgreens and during my usual stroll through cosmetics I found some great buys! That always makes me smile….Wet n’ Wild had a sale on their single eyeshadows and single eye glitters.
Both of these shadows were very silky, had great color payoff and blended well. Bonus! Ofcourse sparkly things catch my eye…
The consistency of these single eye glitters was a creamy gel with glitter that is definitely build-able. Bleached was the strongest and my favorite with orangey yellow glitter. Spiked was a nice silver shine, but Groupie disappointed me a bit and this is the one I was originally most excited about! 😦 oh well, over some plum shadow, I can make it work…
Next I got home and in the mail….
I had been wanting to branch out from always using my favorite, Ardell lashes, so I checked out some opinions online and MyEyeshadowConsultant had some great insight. She suggested Red Cherry and several great choices, so I ordered them and they finally came in, yay! Also I had a great addition from Danielle. She gifted me with these Katy Perry awesome lashes that were designed with purple accents. Love!!!
Another nice surprise was getting in my bareMinerals high shine eye color in Meteorite. I can thank BaileyBeautyxo for this one. She suggested it to make blue eyes pop, and boy is this color gorgeous! The staying power is also incredible….
All in all today was productive and I had some nice surprises….
Well, off to planning my next batch of youtube videos!

I have always loved unique, special art…To me, getting inked represents so much more than a display of what I like. So many different meanings are behind the tattoos I have so far and sometimes those meanings and inspirations change and morph to be relevant currently, stronger mementos of the past and deeper than ever before. They are my rights of passage and mark my milestones…my representation of inside self on the outside…I wear my heart literally on my sleeve (well my partial sleeve, lol), and I love them deeply.

My first ever tattoo!
Boy do I remember white knuckling it and I remember it like it was yesterday. It was a knarly decision to make and all the worries associated with getting a tattoo for the first time were fresh in my psyche. Nowadays I cant wait for more! each ink charm on this anklet represents a member of my family and things that will never change. I designed it, it is on my right ankle and it opened for me the gates to a new path of self expression….
Second Tattoo:
I was feeling feisty with one of my friends, Trish. It was her birthday, I believe, and we confided in each other about everything. We wanted to do something binding together, so we each got our zodiac sign on the upper pad of our foot. Mine is on the left foot and I’m a Virgo. Loyal. Intelligent. Dependable. Who wouldn’t want to be born under the Virgo zodiac? (hee-hee)
Third tattoo:
Sesa Wo Suban between my shoulder blades. Symbol of life transformation. It combines two separate adinkra symbols, the “Morning Star” which can mean a new start to the day, placed inside the wheel, representing rotation or independent movement. I got this to signify my concentration on accepting that the only constant in life is change and that I need to be more comfortable within that scope. Change isn’t easy for me or anyone it seems, but this was my commitment to myself to improve all around by letting go of the negatives, taking in the positives, stepping out of the box even if its scary and realizing that nothing is to heavy to bare with enough faith and love.
Fourth Tattoo:
My G clef F clef swirly fun piece on my MIC arm (right arm). Admittedly I saw this on my friend Jess’s arm and fell in love. Of course it isn’t exactly the same, but the concept is along the same strain. We are both singers and I thought this was an amazing nod to my ethereal love of music, which is second only to my family. I don’t know what it is to not sing, other than the one time I had throat surgery ad thought I was going to disintegrate from anxiety about possibly losing my voice. Praise everything everywhere that, that didn’t happen. Music is me, I am music and I mean to do justice to the craft I so love, in the near future….
Fifth tattoo:
My gypsy angel. This was a huge commitment because it took up half my right arm…yikes! Scary but amazing. I remember the artist’s face, Maria, a dear friend and total talent, when I told her how big I wanted it….Of course I got a gigantic thumbs up. I believe in spirit guides and guardian angels. I love skulls, spirituality, mysticism and beauty and boy did she deliver…I love my gypsy angel from the center of the earth to the cosmos….:)
Sixth tattoo:
This represented a bonding moment between me and my significant other. We believe we have been brought together by something bigger than what is on this earthly plane and we wanted to commemorate our love. This tattoo is on the inside of my left leg, just above the ankle. The five elements represented here in a star form, determine the balance of yin and yang and control the flow of Ch’i. Wood helps Fire, Fire helps Earth, Earth helps Metal, Metal helps Water, and Water helps Wood. We are all here to play out our role in our spiritually and earthly duties. Aiding each other, as the five elements do, through unconditional love can make life a beautiful experience, and who says we can’t be colorful when doing so….haha….
Seventh tattoo:
My latest obsession! The owl spirit animal is emblematic of a strong bond with wisdom and intuitive knowledge. I feel as though I have the ability to see what is usually hidden to most. It is a deep knowing in the gut if something rings true or not that can be a blessing and a curse all rolled into one. The owl represents the inspiration and guidance necessary to deeply explore the unknown and the magic of life. The Harry Potter reference needs no explain I’m sure (Deathly Hallows love people!) and the list of my degrees so far was a fun detail…I am forever a student of life, and I will be studying always…
